A new study has found that online pharmacies are the place where online drug companies are buying their drugs.
It's a good idea for a while to try to save money on prescription drugs.
But before that, it's best to see how you can make your money.
The study, published in theJournal of the American Medical Association, tested how many people are affected by online pharmacy scams.
People are getting a lot more money from them, the study found.
"When people talk to the doctor about getting Viagra, it's very often a scam, because the doctor thinks the drug is effective," said study co-author Dr. Michael Schoenfeld, a researcher at Yale University School of Medicine.
The researchers also found that the online pharmacy selling the drug was selling a copy of Pfizer's Viagra for $2, which is a little over a dollar, they said.
There were three main reasons people were getting Viagra:
They were buying it without a doctor's approval, because of the "real" price, said study co-author Dr. Andrew Wieland, who is not a part of the team.
"It's a big deal. There are a lot of people that are going to be buying drugs online without the doctor's approval," Wieland said.
And they weren't getting a "real" drug, he added.
The researchers also found that patients using the online pharmacy didn't know what the real price was, and they didn't want to pay the doctor's bill.
"The price was too high for the patients to be aware of," Schoenfeld said. "They were just buying the drugs without any kind of consultation with a doctor."
But they didn't realize that the online pharmacies were selling a copy of Pfizer's Viagra for $2.
"The problem is that the price was so high, the drug was not being used in a way that would help it to work as well as it should," Wieland said.
So, they didn't know what the actual value of the drugs was.
For instance, the pharmacy would only pay you about $9 for a Viagra-like pill, said Wieland, and $10 for a Viagra-like pill, and the pharmacy would only pay you about $12 for a Viagra-like pill.
The researchers also found that people using the online pharmacy bought Viagra-like pills from the drug companies.
"We didn't have a lot of data available in the database," Wieland said. "We were just looking for a way to know what the actual price was."
So, what did they mean when they said the online pharmacies were selling a copy of Pfizer's Viagra for $2?
"It is a big deal. It is a big deal for us to be buying the drug online without a doctor's approval," Schoenfeld said.
And people were also getting the drugs from online pharmacies.
"They were selling the drug from a place that was not in the database," Schoenfeld said.
And people were getting their drugs from the pharmacy.
"The pharmacy was selling the drugs directly from the drug companies, not from the online pharmacies," Wieland said.
And the pharmacy didn't know what the actual value was.
"It was a lot of money to buy the drugs from them," Wieland said.
"And the price was so high, it's a big deal."
The authors of the study did not report the exact numbers of people receiving the drugs from the online pharmacies, but they say they found some interesting findings.
"It is really important for patients to get a good idea of what the actual value of the drugs is, as far as how much money they are putting into their lives," said Dr. Richard H. Rosenbloom, a professor of pharmaceutical science and technology at the University of Michigan, who wasn't involved with the study.
The researchers also found that people who bought Viagra-like pills from the pharmacy didn't have any problems getting their drugs.
"They were buying the drugs from a site that was not in the database, so they could be making money by getting the drugs from the drug companies," said H.
